New Guidance COVID-19 Vaccine

2025-2026 COVID-19 vaccine guidance is available. Vaccines are recommended for everyone 6 months and older.

Respiratory Virus Recommendations from the CDC

CDC has recommendations for how people can protect themselves and their communities from respiratory viruses, including COVID-19.

If you have symptoms of COVID-19, test immediately. If you do not have symptoms but have been exposed to COVID-19, wait at least 5 full days after your exposure before taking a test.

New Yorkers who test positive for COVID-19 and are at high risk of severe outcomes can seek treatments that help prevent severe disease, hospitalization, and death.

Children, adolescents, and adults 6 months of age and older are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. COVID-19 vaccines are available at pharmacies, doctor’s offices, local health departments, clinics, and Federally Qualified Health Centers. Call the facility to confirm availability.
